The Problem :

The posts about college visits felt bland, similar to what other schools were sharing.

WHY : They didn’t stand out or capture attention, making it less likely for viewers to stop mid-scroll and engage with the content.

The Approach

I took handwritten notes during the meeting, as it helps show i'm focused, engaged, and present with the person I'm speaking with.

I met with the head coach and recruiting coach to understand their design preferences. They wanted the post to remain simple but visually stand out.

I also did research on other high school postings, specifically their thank you posts to visiting schools.

After gathering my information, I went into Canva to create the design and shared it with the recruiting coach so he could add or remove visiting colleges.

The Result

After

Based on feedback, I made a subtle design update by adding a faded school logo in the background.

This helped improve contrast between the college logos and school colors while keeping the post clean and balanced.

This change started to take effect as engagement in reposts and likes grew.
